Ivanka Trump likes to pretend she knows a thing or two about being a working woman, and to most people in the country, that is completely ludicrous, as she has never worked for a thing she has a single day in her privileged life. She grew up in Manhattan mansions lined with literal gold, so when she just tried to say that people in America are against a minimum wage because they like to “work for what they get,” Twitter immediately went berserk.
Axios tweeted the following Tuesday morning:
Ivanka Trump goes after Ocasio-Cortez policies in Fox News Interview: "People want to work for what they get. So, I think that this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want." https://t.co/tE4to2fhT1 pic.twitter.com/YjEi9F0aeE

The trust fund baby made a huge mistake when she said on Fox News that:
“People want to work for what they get. So, I think that this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want.”
We’re pretty sure people what to get what they work for not work for what they get. Aside from the statement making zero sense at all, (that’s what happens when a rich little white girl tries to relate to actual humans) how can she possibly think she understands the struggle of someone who, say, had to bartend their way through school?
The remarks were a blatant attack on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal. AOC is someone who actually has a right to represent “the people” since she was duly elected to do so. So why would Ivanka Trump think that anyone but Trump’s broke hillbilly supporters want to hear what she has to say about money troubles Americans have?
The tweet garnered many responses, all of which told Ivanka Trump where she could shove her observations of poor people. We saved the best reactions to the tweet below:
