Donald Trump has said and tweeted some really idiotic things. From his tweets about climate change, which he insists should mean there is never snow or cold weather, to his obvious lack of knowledge on how government works, there is a greatest hits list of Trump’s Stupid Tweets.
SpaceX is not funded by the U.S. government and had absolutely nothing to do with Trump. SpaceX is owned by Elon Musk. It launched successfully on March 2. The Atlantic reports that:

Dragon will spend Saturday catching up to the ISS and dock to the station Sunday morning. The spacecraft will detach, head back to Earth, and parachute down to the Atlantic Ocean on Friday…

Musk and his fellow engineers watched Saturday’s launch from inside a firing room at Kennedy Space Center, where mission control once gathered for the launches of Space Shuttles, glued to their headsets and computer screens. The NASA astronauts assigned to SpaceX’s first crewed flight, Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken, joined them.’
