The national GOP has another scandal on their hands in the form of the prostitution bust in Florida that recently shut down ten massage parlors — including one where New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft had been caught soliciting prostitution. The founder of that Jupiter, Florida, establishment has been photographed with a wide array of prominent Florida Republicans throughout recent months and years, offering a curious window into just how far up the ladder someone like Li (Cindy) Yang can really get.

Besides having attended President Donald Trump’s Super Bowl watch party this past February at his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort, she has posed for photos with Republicans including the president’s sons Donald Jr. and Eric, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida Governor turned U.S. Senator Rick Scott, prominent Trump-allied Congressman Matt Gaetz — and Fox News contributor Dan Bongino, who’s been quoted by the president a number of times and anyone familiar with the network’s take on security issues might be unfortunately familiar with.

Check out some photos (note she’s not actually a Mar-a-Lago member, although she seems to have claimed as much):

Yang’s spas have repeatedly been caught up in allegations of prostitution, although she no longer owns the Jupiter establishment where Kraft was caught and claims to be distancing herself from the industry. Her family’s chain is mostly known as Tokyo Day Spas, while the place the Patriots owner was caught visiting twice in the span of 24 hours around the time of the AFC Championship game is now called the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, which Lang sold in 2013. There have been allegations of human trafficking associated with the place in the time since the bust, but there have been no actual charges of human trafficking so far, only a number of people facing prostitution-related charges — including a large number of men who set themselves up to be customers.

Yang has declined to answer whether or not she knew what went on in her massage parlors, where one worker told police in 2016 that management “encouraged” the sexual contact between them and clients. Allegations of prostitution have included the Jupiter location in question from before she sold it, and her own chain has attracted police investigation while she’s been in charge.

She has put herself in Republicans’ orbit through large donations. In early 2018, she posed for another photo with President Trump at an event where tickets including a reception, photo, and two seats at dinner with the president were $50,000. The event served as a Republican fundraiser.

Shortly before that event, she appears in a photo with leaders including eventual Florida Governor DeSantis at a pro-Israel event at Mar-a-Lago that apparently cost some $1,000 to get in.

Outside of the events, which she may have paid handsomely to attend, Lang and her relatives have given tens of thousands of dollars to Republican, and more specifically Trump-ian causes. More than $42,000 went to the Trump Victory political action committee, and more than $16,000 went directly to the campaign.

Lang has even eventually directly been invited by the White House to attend two Asian American and Pacific Islander Initiative (AAPI) events in Washington, D.C. in 2018.

If this woman can easily get in Republican circles that easily, who else can?
