Like a spoiled, entitled brat with much to hide, it was reported today by the Washington Examiner that Jared Kushner allegedly hung up on an adviser to the late John McCain.
The reporting is based on a revelation found within the pages of the new book title Kushner, Inc. by author Vicky Ward.
The book claims that days after the 2016 election, Trump eagerly took a congratulatory phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The next day, McCain made a statement where he said this:
‘With the U.S. presidential transition underway, Vladimir Putin has said in recent days that he wants to improve relations with the United States.
‘We should place as much faith in such statements as any other made by a former KGB agent who has plunged his country into tyranny, murdered his political opponents, invaded his neighbors, threatened America’s allies, and attempted to undermine America’s elections.’
But wait, there’s more. McCain continued:
‘When America has been at its greatest, it is when we have stood on the side those fighting tyranny. That is where we must stand again.’
Upset and to be expected from the son-in-law turned Trump loyalist, Kushner reportedly called McCain’s longtime advisor.
Per reporting from Washington Examiner, the call went down like this:
‘HAS MCCAIN GOT A STRATEGY, OR IS HE JUST AN EGO-MANIAC?
‘HE NEEDS TO STEP BACK. WE HAVE A PLAN– HE OUGHT TO GIVE US TIME TO IMPLEMENT OUR PLAN. HE’S BEING AN OBSTRUCTIONIST.’
From there, the conversation went south fast. Rick Davis, McCain’s adviser, suggested to Kushner that he show McCain respect– this was when Kushner allegedly hung up on Davis.
The Trump’s have had a long-standing vendetta towards McCain it appears. Donald Trump himself has kept the fire burning even after McCain’s death in August of last year.
While McCain was alive and especially towards the end of his time here on this planet, he consistently called on Trump over a litany of issues. Some of McCain’s most harsh (and deserving) criticisms had to do with Trump’s questionable relationship with Russian president Vladimir Putin. McCain, during the time of the summit in Helsinki, offered blistering statements, including how the summit showcased “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.”
Trump today, during an Oval Office meeting with Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, told reporters that he “was never a fan” of John McCain and that he “never will be.”
