The president has been on a tangent over John McCain recently and no one really knows why. McCain, who died last year, has literally done nothing to get under the president’s skin lately, but that hasn’t stopped Trump from waging an all-out war on the late POW.
Trump has attacked McCain twice on Twitter these last few days, garnering responses from Meghan McCain along the lines of “no one will ever love you like they loved him.”
Now, Trump has tripled-down on his hateful rhetoric against the deceased war hero, saying this during a press conference with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro when asked what his beef with McCain is all about:
“I’m very unhappy that he didn’t repeal and replace ObamaCare, as you know he campaigned on. Our country would have saved a trillion dollars, and we would have had great health care. He told us hours before that he was going to repeal and replace and then, for some reason — I think I understand the reason — he ended up going thumbs up.”
“I think that’s disgraceful. Plus there are other things. I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be.”
