Trump & McConnell Accused Of Colluding By House Intel

The word “collusion” will follow Trump for the rest of his presidency, as well as be tagged as part of his presidential legacy after leaving office. After the Mueller report was finally submitted and Trump claimed it “totally exonerates” him, one would think he’d want it released in full. Rep. Jackie Scheier (D-CA) says that the reason it isn’t being released is due to the “collusion” between Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on keeping it hidden.

Just days before the conclusion of the investigation, Trump said he was eager to see it released to the public in full in order to clear his name. Just like so many things that Trump has promised would happen, that immediately went away when the time came to put his money where his mouth is.

Speier said during an interview with CNN:

‘I think there’s collusion there between the president and Mitch McConnell…I mean, this is no different than everything else President Trump has done during his entire campaign and election. He also said he wanted to release his tax returns. We’re still waiting 2 1/2 years later for that tax return and he doesn’t talk about it anymore.’

Speier is a member of the House Intelligence Committee, where evidence was suppressed and their investigation impeded for the two years that Republicans dominated the House of Representatives. Speier says that the GOP is still working to protect Trump from impeachment and that Sen. McConnell is in charge.

Her criticism of Trump’s promises continued.

‘He doesn’t talk about a rigged election after he won the election. He is a man who will do whatever is convenient at the time, knowing that he can use it somehow later. And in this case, I think he has a deal with Mitch McConnell.’

Considering Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) list of unethical behaviors, which he detailed in a response to calls for him to step down as the committee’s chairman, that the public already knows about Trump and his 2016 presidential campaign, including the fact that they knew the Kremlin was illegally hacking DNC servers, collusion has already been proven. Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no proof that the collusion was illegal, but there were certainly a laundry list of unethical behaviors released by the media ahead of the report.

Thanks to Mitch McConnell, the public is unlikely to ever know what else was on that list.
