Donald Trump just loves Wikileaks. He loves WikiLeaks so much that he mentioned the name a whopping 141 different times in the month before the 2016 presidential campaign. according to MSNBC. Yet, POTUS suddenly got a very serious case of amnesia.

It had to be amnesia, because Trump “literally had a poster of Julian Assange” on the wall of his campaign debate war room, CNBC’s White House reporter Christina Wilkie reported in a tweet:

‘Trump literally had a poster of Julian Assange up on the wall in his 2016 presidential campaign debate war room. It featured Assange saying: “Dear Hillary, I miss reading your classified emails.”’

A phrase Trump used continually to the cheers of tens of thousands of his followers at his rallies was:

‘I love Wikileaks!”

Still, on the day that the Ecuadorian Embassy in London arrested the originator and owner of Wikileaks Assange and kicked him out, Trump told MSNBC’s White House reporters:

‘I know nothing about Wikileaks. It’s not my thing.’

Wikileaks helped the president’s 2016 campaign when Assange released all of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s emails. The Russians had hacked them then turned them over to Wikileaks to distribute. It and hurt Clinton badly.

Assange was charged with hacking and conspiracy related to the Chelsea Manning hacking and release of U.S. military secrets across the internet. They made no charges related to the media. Scotland Yard said, according to The Guardian:

”The MPS (Metropolitan Police Service) has a duty to execute the warrant, on behalf of Westminster magistrates court, and was invited into the embassy by the ambassador following the Ecuadorian government’s withdrawal of asylum.’

Prime Minister Theresa May thanked the Ecuadorian government for releasing Assange and thanked the Metropolitan police:

‘This goes to show that in the United Kingdom no one is above the law.’
