Obama Responds To Notre Dame Cathedral Fire Like A Real Leader

The massive fire burning at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France has been a devastating disaster, not only for the people of France, but for people around the world who have read about or visited the iconic and historic building.

Donald Trump responded to the fire with a few words on his Twitter, including tips for the first responders on the ground trying to extinguish the blaze. Trump said this about the fire:

“So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!”

The arrogance is astounding.

So, of course, President Obama had to step in and do what the current president refuses to do, act presidential. Barack just said this via his Twitter account:

“Notre Dame is one of the world’s great treasures, and we’re thinking of the people of France in your time of grief. It’s in our nature to mourn when we see history lost – but it’s also in our nature to rebuild for tomorrow, as strong as we can.”

People responding to Obama’s tweet showed an outpour of support for the former president, as well as a whole heap of praise for genuinely mourning with the rest of the world.
