Even after the Mueller report’s release, while the American voting public comes to terms with the fact that their president attempted to obstruct justice numerous times and knew that Russia was committing cyberattacks and told no one, the daily controversies regarding the Trump administration are never-ending.
The story being reported regarding the release of Otto Warmbler, who died as a result of the torture he received in prison in North Korea after allegedly tearing down a propaganda poster, isn’t that the Trump administration paid two million dollars for Warmbler’s release, it’s that two million dollars was promised to North Korea to cover medical bills for Warmbler’s care that he never received. There are documents that prove this that are far more credible than Trump.
If Trump paid the money, it’s an outrage. If he didn’t pay it after signing a promissory note to do so, hostage negotiations with North Korea most likely won’t ever happen again.
Tom Steyer, for many reasons, has been on a campaign to fund the Trump impeachment since the beginning of his presidency. The Russian collusion investigation and Trump’s many proven attempts to obstruct justice are just a few reasons Steyer believes our country’s stability and values are threatened by the man currently occupying the White House. One does not have to run for president to care about the country or see this lawless administration for what it is: a danger the likes of which this country has never before faced.
