On Sunday, CNN decided, for some reason, to have Kellyanne Conway appear on their network to deflect questions, lie, and spin her whataboutisms. Exactly as planned, she was asked a question about why President Trump has failed to mention the three historically black churches in Louisiana that were burned down recently, and her response was as typical as it was disgusting.
Instead of actually answering the question, she pivoted to noting that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has tweeted more times about Muslims killed by a mass shooter in New Zealand than Christians in Sri Lanka. Note that Ocasio-Cortez absolutely did tweet about the shooting in Sri Lanka, but Conway was desperate to pull out her “what about” card and indicated that she had some problem with the ratio of New Zealand to Sri Lanka tweets. Or something.
Ocasio-Cortez clapped back with a vengeance when her faith was attacked. In short order, she reminded Trump’s favorite TV liar (other than himself) that no one appointed her the Christianity meter.
Hello Ms. Conway,
On Easter I was away from tech visiting my grandmother in Puerto Rico, which continues to suffer from the White House’s incompetent disaster response.
Are you trying to imply that I am less Christian? What was the point of you bringing this up on national TV? https://t.co/TIypLf2CaB

“Corrupt” is a good one, too.
I’m curious, how do you spin ignoring and neglecting the largest mass death of people on American soil in decades, @KellyannePolls?
After all, the official count of 3,075 people is much bigger than the 64 number your admin clung to for so long.

The terrorist attack in Sri Lanka was horrifying. Saying ‘Easter worshippers’ matters bc Easter is the holiest day of the year for Christians, & to be targeted on Easter highlights how heinous the attack was – just as saying yesterday’s #SanDiego shooting was on Passover.

Conway and Trump love to profess their Christian faith, and Trump has even pondered publicly that perhaps his never-ending state of limbo due to tax audits might be because he’s such a well-known Christian. When it’s time to put up or shut up and help brown American citizens in their time of need, suddenly the great Christian president and his lackey disappear.
