Former vice president Joe Biden (D-DE) frightens Donald Trump, and POTUS should be afraid. Biden is perhaps the biggest threat to the Republican in the 2020 presidential race, because the former Delaware senator can take a huge bite out of Trump’s base. For example, the firefighters stand directly behind Biden. The commander-in-chief has decided to fight back — just as your average fifth grader might do.
Trump tweeted out his nickname for the 20th presidential candidate “Sleepy Joe Biden.” Then, the president bragged that he alone rebooted the Pennsylvania economy. Of course, POTUS was talking about Biden’s home state. The former VP’s family was forced to leave it as his father sought work. The man who occasionally sits in the Oval Office tweeted:
‘Sleepy Joe Biden is having his first rally in the Great State of Pennsylvania. He obviously doesn’t know that Pennsylvania is having one of the best economic years in its history, with lowest unemployment EVER, a now thriving Steel Industry (that was dead) & great future!……..’
Then, Trump went after the media, trying to rebrand them as “fake news.” He claimed that the only reason he was president was due to a “Biden & Obama” failure:
‘The Media (Fake News) is pushing Sleepy Joe hard. Funny, I’m only here because of Biden & Obama. They didn’t do the job and now you have Trump, who is getting it done – big time!’
Nevermind that the Republican Congress leaders blocked the Obama administration at every turn. Snopes verified that Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said:
‘One of my proudest moments was when I told Obama, “You will not fill this Supreme Court vacancy.”‘
Then in 2017, McConnell said:
‘Apparently there’s yet a new standard now, which is not to confirm a Supreme Court nominee at all. I think that’s something the American people simply will not tolerate.’
Interesting that the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska decided to plow $200 million into a Kentucky plant.
