Donald Trump has a habit of giving people he does not like nicknames. He derided Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) by calling her “Pocahontas.” This was a reference to her family story of Indian heritage, which might have been wrong. POTUS has not been as clever with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). He calls her “Nancy.” The question arises, does anyone have a nickname for him?

The answer to that is a resounding “yes!” The man that POTUS has feared the most, former vice president Joe Biden, has come up with a doozy of a nickname. When a supporter at a private fundraiser asked him whether he had a nickname for Trump, the former VP began with a statement that he “didn’t want to get down in the mud” with the president.

Then, Biden jumped right into the mud wrestling contest. He got a big laugh out of the room when he nicknamed his opponent, according to The POLITICO magazine:

‘There’s so many nicknames I’m inclined to give this guy. You can just start with clown.’

The president of these United States’ nickname for the man fondly called “Uncle Joe” was “Sleepy Joe.” That was a surprising choice, given how active the septuagenarian has been.

There was some question about whether Biden would run until he actually declared as one of the last to join the 2020 presidential race. The former VP shared an event that helped him decide.

One of his grandchildren, Hunter, joined the family meeting two months ago. “Little Hunter”  showed an online picture from the former VP ‘s son, Beau Biden’s funeral and said:

‘‘Pop, you have to run Pop. Pop, it says: ‘Look at Biden molesting a kid. Pop, I know it’s going to be mean, they’re going to say bad things about Daddy. Mommy and Daddy had a divorce and they’re going to really go after that.” My generic point is they know how tough it’s going to be.’

When the man who occasionally sits in the Oval Office will attack Biden, the former VP and senator from Delaware has already planned his strategy:

“On every single issue and on every demeaning thing he says about other people, I have no problem responding directly. What I’m not going to do is get into what he wants me to do. He wants this to be a mud wrestling match.’

Under President Barack Obama’s presidency, Biden spent much of his time on foreign policy:

‘I think, whether I’m right or not, I know as much about American foreign policy as anyone around, including even maybe Kissinger. I say that because I’ve been doing it my entire adult life.’

Just then, Biden made a “Freudian Slip,” which he automatically corrected:

‘One I can say is Margaret Thatcher, um, excuse me, Margaret Thatcher – Freudian slip. But I knew her too. The prime minister of Great Britain, Theresa May.’

Then, Biden told the audience that he wished he had not said that he would have taken Trump around the high school gym and “beat the hell out of him:”

‘Well guess what? I probably shouldn’t have done that. I don’t want to get it down to that level. The presidency is an office that requires some dignity.’

Biden apparently has spoken privately with the president:

‘I let him understand what I think about him.’

Biden told them that things could get ugly on the turn of a dime. He fully anticipates that Trump and his followers will attack his family:

‘This guy is going to go after me and my family.’
