The racism and xenophobia directed at Fox News viewers is only undergirded by the constant attacks by Republicans against the Latina Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). On Friday’s Fox & Friends interview with Vice President Mike Pence, all of that ire was on full display as Pence called for Omar to be removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Trump and Putin are using this as a stage to wag the dog. They must protect Trump with a skirmish during the election

Pence lashed out at Omar’s “anti-Semitism” due to statements she made about the Israeli government and the lobbyists who support the violence and oppression that government inflicts on the Palestinian people. While Republicans are quick to laugh off horrifyingly racist comments by the president and call anyone who speaks up about it “snowflakes,” the hypocrisy they display in twisting Omar’s words and intentions is almost laughable, except for the fact that the woman’s life is in constant danger due to death threats.
According to Fox News, who conducted the interview, Pence discussed Rep. Omar by saying:
‘Ilhan Omar has made statements, anti-Semitic comments against our most cherished ally, Israel, that ought to be rejected by every American.’
Pence has absolutely no issues with standing on rally stages and behind the president during speeches after his anti-Semitic tweet against Hillary Clinton and eagerly defended him when he called people who marched next to neo-Nazis who chanted “Jews will not replace us” “very fine people.” Omar’s comments were in no way related to Jewish people as a whole and, in fact, many Jewish Americans have supported her comments.
That didn’t stop Pence from making his hypocritical statements, though.
‘frankly, the fact that very recently, she’s been trying to blame the United States of America for the deprivation and the poverty brought on by the dictatorship in Venezuela tells me … Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has no place on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Democratic leadership ought to remove her.’

Perhaps Pence should follow his own advice on what Americans in Congress should do about anti-Semitism, racism, and xenophobia. It would require removing Trump from office immediately.
‘Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress, much less the Foreign Affairs Committee. Those who engage in anti-Semitic tropes should not just be denounced, they should face consequences for their words.’
.@IlhanMN tweets were a disgrace & her apology was inadequate. Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress, much less the Foreign Affairs Committee. Those who engage in anti-Semitic tropes should not just be denounced, they should face consequences for their words.
