Just when you’re sure that no more absolutely damning evidence of Donald Trump’s criminal activity in the Mueller probe can hit the news cycle to prove that a criminal currently sits in the Oval Office, a story like this hits the airwaves.

According to a previously unreleased memo in the Michael Flynn case, the former national security adviser turned over information related to obstruction of justice by someone involved in either the Trump administration or one of his allies in Congress in which the person attempted to influence Flynn and convince him not to cooperate in the Mueller probe. This matches the prior testimony by Michael Cohen in which he stated that he was offered a pardon to keep quiet about his own knowledge of obstruction and conspiracy during the 2016 Trump campaign.

POLITICO reports:

‘An unnamed person ‘connected to … Congress’ allegedly attempted to influence former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s willingness to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, according to a filing unsealed in federal court Thursday.’

According to the memo, Flynn even provided a voicemail as evidence of the attempt to influence him. It is unclear at this point what was said in the voicemail or who called Flynn.

‘The defendant informed the government of multiple instances, both before and after his guilty plea, where either he or his attorneys received communications from persons connected to the Administration or Congress that could’ve affected both his willingness to cooperate and the completeness of that cooperation. The defendant even provided a voicemail recording of one such communication.’

Trump’s attorneys, four of whom were recently subpoenaed for information regarding Cohen’s claim that they shaped the false testimony he gave to Congress that earned him a conviction and a prison sentence, received a call in November of 2017 from Flynn’s attorneys responding to the voicemail.

‘On November 23, 2017, Flynn’s attorneys returned the call from the President’s personal Counsel to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail. Flynn’s attorneys reiterated that they were no longer in a position to share information under any sort of privilege. According to Flynn ‘s attorneys, the President’s personal counsel was indignant and vocal in his disagreement’
