The number of Democratic candidates is now in the dozens. Each one of them comes with some impressive records, so they have been looking for ways to stand out in the crowd. Great Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg was the third candidate to go on Fox for a town hall and got a standing ovation. Still, Donald Trump has two other candidates that make him very nervous.

In a morning tweet, POTUS pulled out his most biting fifth-grade slurs to put down both Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and former vice president Joe Biden (D). He called Sanders “history” and Biden “sleepy.” Then, the president took it one step further and claimed that the president of China “took him (Biden) off the 1% trash heap:”

‘Looks like Bernie Sanders is history. Sleepy Joe Biden is pulling ahead and think about it, I’m only here because of Sleepy Joe and the man who took him off the 1% trash heap, President O! China wants Sleepy Joe BADLY!’

How have the Democrats fought back? Sanders was the first to go on the network Trump has claimed as his own for a town hall meeting. Buttigieg followed in the Vermont senator’s footsteps and knocked the rabidly pro-Trump hosts Laura Ingraham for comparing child detention centers to summer camps and Tucker Carlson, who called immigrants “dirty.” Candidate Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) chose not to appear on Fox, calling it a “hate-for-profit racket,” according to CNN:

‘(B)igotry, racism, and outright lies with enough legit journalism to make the claim to advertisers that it’s a reputable news outlet.’

Trump was not pleased when Buttigieg went on Fox. He tweeted:

‘Hard to believe that @FoxNews is wasting airtime on Mayor Pete, as Chris Wallace likes to call him. Fox is moving more and more to the losing (wrong) side in covering the Dems. They got dumped from the Democrats boring debates, and they just want in. They forgot the people who got them there.’

Fox commentator Chris Wallace hosted the Buttigieg townhall and asked the youngest candidate about Trump’s attack tweets. He responded authentically:

‘I don’t care…It is the nature of grotesque things that you can’t look away.’
