Yesterday brought yet another mass shooting that Republican officials refuse to acknowledge is the result of legal gun ownership; Hell, they barely acknowledged it at all. And still a dozen American families are mourning the losses of their loved ones Saturday morning. They will never again see those people who went off to work Friday morning to never return home.
The president of the United States has finally gotten around to commenting on the shooting that took the lives of at least 12 people so far, and just as you’d expect, his message falls short of what one would call empathy:
Spoke to Virginia Governor @RalphNortham last night, and the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Virginia Beach this morning, to offer condolences to that great community. The Federal Government is there, and will be, for whatever they may need. God bless the families and all!

What exactly is Trump talking about when he says “the federal government is, and will be there.” Is he really trying to take credit for the FBI doing their job in this incident?
