As House Democrats deliver this week on their promise to ramp-up efforts into questioning and investigating the March release of Robert Mueller’s report, a new wave of subpoenas for documents and testimony has taken aim at Michael Flynn and former-Trump aide, Rick Gates.
In a statement, California Democrat and committee chairman for the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, stated:
‘As part of our oversight work, the House Intelligence Committee is continuing to examine the deep counterintelligence concerns raised in Special Counsel Mueller’s report, and that requires speaking directly with the fact witnesses.’
Yesterday Schiff took to Twitter to punch back at Trump and his administration’s claims of “no collusion, no obstruction,” and sent a dire warning and forecast of weather to come:
Most Americans have not read Mueller’s report.
Some may be astonished to learn that a finding of “no collusion,” much less a finding of “no obstruction,” is nowhere to be seen on any page of his report.

The two men being subpoenaed are on a ‘Most Wanted’-type list for the House Intelligence Committee; both Flynn and Gates, per Mueller’s report, are key cooperators, steeped in corruption and masked in secrecy.
‘Both Michael Flynn and Rick Gates were critical witnesses for Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation, but so far have refused to cooperate fully with Congress.’
According to Chairman Schiff, both men “refused to fully cooperate with Congress.” Consider this an attempt at a do-over.
‘The subpoenas demand that Flynn and Gates provide documents to the committee by June 26 and appear for sworn testimony on July 10.
‘Flynn and Gates are both still cooperating with prosecutors on various criminal matters and have yet to be sentenced. Both pleaded guilty to crimes connected to Mueller’s probe.’
With the scenario having played out this way, it seems like a natural next step for the House Intelligence Committee to take.
The timing could not be more ideal. Just this morning Donald Trump sent out a tweet, signaling a potential pardon may be on the horizon.
General Michael Flynn, the 33 year war hero who has served with distinction, has not retained a good lawyer, he has retained a GREAT LAWYER, Sidney Powell. Best Wishes and Good Luck to them both!
