BREAKING: Trump’s Pentagon Chief Resigns Suddenly Over F.B.I.

The president has found himself in a very precarious situation. Not only is he under multiple investigations, but he now knows (although he’d never admit it) from the Mueller Report that he will likely be indicted the second he is no longer president. This is exactly why he is already panicking over the 2020 election, and that’s why he continues to lose his officials left and right.

Trump just lost someone very high up in his administration, which likely has him feeling abandoned once again. (thankfully he’s been used to it since birth) Trump’s acting Pentagon Chief just announced his resignation. His reasoning was the FBI’s refusal to confirm Trump’s nomination, although they aren’t saying that outright.

Patrick Shanahan has been directing the Department of Defense ever since James Mattis left the position. Shanahan is under heavy scrutiny after his ex-wife came forward with claims of violence. Shanahan has an arrest record that backs up his wife’s claim of domestic abuse.

Trump just tweeted the following about Shanahan’s temper tantrum:

“Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan, who has done a wonderful job, has decided not to go forward with his confirmation process so that he can devote more time to his family.”

“I thank Pat for his outstanding service and will be naming Secretary of the Army, Mark Esper, to be the new Acting Secretary of Defense. I know Mark, and have no doubt he will do a fantastic job!”

This means that, as of right now, the United States of America has no secretary of defense. Feel safe yet? Not only that, but the picture that Trump paints of Shanahan’s motive to resign is phony at best. Certainly, Shanahan took the job knowing that he would not be with his family during the work day, and this is just a tiny taste of what American parents feel like as they’re struggling to make ends meet.
