The real national emergency taking place on America’s southern border is the sick and dying children left unattended and without proper mental and hygienic resources to lead a healthy life. They are only supervised by fellow child detainees, which has led to six deaths inside the camps.
Wayfair is the company used by the Trump Administration to supply the mattresses that the child prisoners sleep on to protect them from the cold cement floors. Wayfair employees banded together days ago to demand that the CEO stop providing the mattresses to the White House, but he refused to do so, and now they are taking matters into their own hands.
Tomorrow, Wayfair employees are staging a walkout to protest the company’s refusal to do the right thing, and politicians like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are speaking out in support of the employees.
I stand with the workers at Wayfair who are walking out tomorrow to protest the treatment of asylum seekers at the border. We cannot be a nation that stands for locking up little children. What these workers are doing is brave and necessary. #WayfairWalkout https://t.co/ZMJRfLfPHw

Wayfair workers couldn’t stomach they were making beds to cage children.
They asked the company to stop. CEO said no.
Tomorrow, they‘re walking out.
This is what solidarity looks like – a reminder that everyday people have real power, as long as we’re brave enough to use it. https://t.co/667abeLDTG
