Donald Trump is an endless broken record on Twitter, pushing the same false claims of his own economic genius, blaming the migrant crisis he created on Democrats, and touting his latest “achievement,” the Fourth of July dictatorial military parade.

He also retweeted stories of drugs and human smugglers to justify his detention camps, planting seeds of fear among his racist fan base. He’s used issues of child trafficking to weaponize his political talking points, but a president who truly cared about the well-being of the people he says he’s so concerned about wouldn’t throw them into overcrowded detention camps without soap and toothpaste. Trump can pretend that his policies are working and his wall is the best idea in the world, but drug traffickers have long since been bringing drugs over the border through tunnels and even through legal checkpoints.
He’s also promoting the work of Customs and Border Patrol, which has come under fire in recent days for the culture of racism, misogyny, and abusiveness in secret Facebook groups and from witness accounts, fellow former and current border patrol officials disgusted and horrified by their actions. From mocking detainees to forcing a man to wear a sign indicating that he’s gay, the organization is clearly out of control and in need of disbanding, but Trump is totally fine with their treatment of women and the detainees in his camps.
Twitter, however, is not fine with Trump as president or his policies. Read some of their comments below:
