Today, in an epic match, the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team beat the Netherlands 2-0. This is the fourth time the team has won a FIFA World Cup.
Starter and captain, Megan Rapinoe, has been in the news a lot lately for taking a knee during the U.S. National Anthem at the pregame ceremonies, as well as being outspoken in her not so warm and fuzzy feelings about Trump, so of course, our so-called “president” had something to say about that when he tweeted recently that Megan should “WIN first before she TALKS!”
Women’s soccer player, @mPinoe, just stated that she is “not going to the F…ing White House if we win.” Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level…

….in our Country’s history, and the poverty index is also best number EVER), leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet….

….invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!

After Rapinoe and the team won today, Trump attempted a lame congratulatory tweet which backfired in a major way. We really hope he reads his responses because the ones that came at him today were legendary. You can read more about that here.
Thankfully, our beloved President Obama still knows how to react and behave sincerely on occasions such as this, and he and First Lady Michelle tweeted out their own congratulations.
President Obama had this to say:
Yes! Fourth star. Back to back. Congrats to the record breakers on the @USWNT, an incredible team that’s always pushing themselves—and the rest of us—to be even better. Love this team. #OneNationOneTeam
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) July 7, 2019
The former First Lady, in turn, said this:
So proud of you, Team USA—you inspire us all! #OneNationOneTeam https://t.co/YEHzyqOwZa
— Michelle Obama (@MichelleObama) July 7, 2019
It’s clear that America still loves these two because the responses were overwhelmingly positive and we’re pretty certain that if Trump sees them he will be super jealous, which is a very satisfying thought.
Here are a few of our favorites:
There’s no word yet whether the team will actually go to the White House, but based on Rapinoe’s own words that she’s “not going to the f—— White House,” we feel pretty confident that it’s going to be a hard pass…
