Looking back over Donald Trump’s history, he has a way of tossing off an idea then coming back to again and again until he manages to implement it. Take his military parade for instance. He wanted in to usurp Veteran’s Day. Then, he came back to his idea over and over until the people around him gave up and let him try to steal the 4th of July with a self-aggrandizing parade. Trump is the same way with war.
Both National Security Adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have long been war hawks. Trump once told someone that President Barack Obama should have started a war if he wanted to get re-elected. Well, most realize that the commander-in-chief might give in to his advisers. Raising sanctions looks likes Trump’s plan to replace Obama’s Nuclear Treaty. He should know Iran doe not want war, but they are as volatile as POTUS. He tweeted:
‘Iran has long been secretly “enriching,” in total violation of the terrible 150 Billion Dollar deal made by John Kerry and the Obama Administration. Remember, that deal was to expire in a short number of years. Sanctions will soon be increased, substantially!’
The Iranians have already been crushed beneath Trump’s heavy sanctions deal. They will not fold. Instead, they will fight, and Iran has had a huge modern military machine.
