Vice President Mike Pence has carefully cultivated an image for himself as a devout Christian, so devout that a single Bible verse that mentions same-sex relationships spurred him to justify taking rights from American citizens who are LGBTQ was completely justified to him. Like every professed Christian who follows Donald Trump, he ignores many other Bible passages that directly call out the abuse of migrants, including small children.
‘Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.’ (Romans 12:13)
CNN is so dishonest. Today we took reporters to a detention facility on the border for families and children and all told us they were being treated well.

On Friday, Pence toured the concentration camps currently being run at the U.S./Mexico border along with GOP lawmakers like Lindsey Graham to show just how badly the media and Democratic legislators are lying about the abuses there. What was shown in the televised visit proved that everything that’s being reported is absolutely true. Guards were shown wearing face masks due to the stench of unwashed and neglected human bodies. Children wore sweatshirts and winter hats on a 98 degree day in McAllen, Texas because they’re being held in freezing conditions. Pence stared stonily at the human rights abuses he was witnessing and then smiled beautifically for the cameras afterward and lied through his teeth about what everyone had just seen.
‘The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.’ (Leviticus 19:24).
He also condemned news outlets like CNN as “liars” due to their reporting of these abuses, ignoring the fact that the Homeland Security Department’s inspector general wrote a report detailing the conditions at these detention centers that confirmed everything being reported. Pence and the GOP who support these abuses have claimed that Democrats and the media are denigrating the law enforcement officers who run these camps, painting them as monsters. He’s failed to mention the many current and former Customs and Border Patrol officials who are reporting their own witnessing of these horrifying abuses.
‘Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.’ Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”‘ (Leviticus 27:19_.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old girl reported sexual abuse by a border official inside one of these camps, with witnesses who laughed and jeered. No investigation was planned after this report until NBC, who Trump has called “fake news,” broke the story. At least six children have died, and those are only the deaths the public knows about. Mike Pence believes in a hell for liars and abusers, and he’s working diligently under one of them while supporting everything he says and does.
‘I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.’ (Matthew 25:45).
Pence couldn’t handle the stench coming from this facility & left. People going without a shower 10-20 days? Sleeping on concrete? That’s a concentration camp that the GOP are charging Americans up to 7x’s in some cases what it should to maintain these facilities. #CloseTheCamps pic.twitter.com/Vi3qO8omgR

The visit was meant to expose the media and the liberal lawmakers who have decried these abuses of children and adults seeking asylum and safe haven in the United States. Instead, it blew up in his face. While the president uses words like “credibility” as a weapon against the media, Pence and the Trump cronies who followed him to the border showed just how badly credibility can be destroyed, both on their claims of humane concentration camps and Pence’s talk about his Christian values, which are clearly nothing more than talk.
‘Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me.’ (Matthew 25:40).
I’ve watched this vile video of Pence at the Trump concentration camp today, and I have so many questions. Why are all these kids wearing sweatshirts, some with winter hats, hands tucked in pockets. Is it that cold in there? It was nearly 100 degrees in McAllen, TX today. pic.twitter.com/m7qg9mRnuY
