What were other people doing as a Marine Ranger in the Ranger Hall of Fame was warning the country about the threat of Russians currently working to undermine the very democracy that is so precious to Americans? Robert Mueller did not want to testify in front of Congress, because he knew exactly how it could and did go. Yet, he did it anyway, because he apparently is the only one who can warn us about Russia’s cyber-warfare attacking the U.S. in a way that the voters can hear. Here is what the first lady was up to while that nation watched Mueller.
The president’s wife decided that this would be a good time to tell the country about her Christmas plans for decorating the White House. Now, why would she do this? Maybe, she has never had an interest in politics and did not even know about the testimony, or maybe she was meant to be a distraction. She tweeted:
‘#Christmas planning has begun in the East Wing at the @WhiteHouse. I’m looking forward to sharing our final vision for this unique tradition in the coming months.’
While the former special counsel was revealing what was in his 448-page report she tweeted photos of the plans. Mueller spent 22 months on his investigation into the president and into Russia’s cyber-attack on the nation, so maybe the first lady needed a distraction herself.
After all, her husband has probably been pretty difficult to live with today.
