Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) offers her opinions about this country, which is such a hopeful view and refreshing in comparison to Donald Trump. She spoke of her father taking her family to Washington, D.C., sweeping his arm across the view of the historic government buildings, and telling her that all this belonged to her and every American.
The president has spoken in the language of fear, anger, hatred, and isolation. Ocasio-Cortez spoke about equality in her latest tweet as Robert Mueller III gave his testimony in front of the House Justice and Intelligence Committees. The president told a group of young people that he could “do anything.” The role model that she presents to young Americans in itself can give the country cause for hope.
She tweeted:
‘The rule of law means *everyone* should be treated the same in the eyes of the law.
That means the rich & powerful should be held accountable for crimes as anyone else.
That includes the President.
He broke the law. And to maintain American rule of law, he must be impeached. ‘
