Donald Trump went after Baltimore, Maryland tweeting that “No human being would want to live there.” That implies that the majority black population are not human beings. POTUS does not go after predominately white poor cities, just the ones that have large black numbers. It is not news that Trump is a racist. Director of the Office of Management and Budget and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney went on the Sunday talk shows and with a straight face, claimed this was not racist language. Yet clearly, POTUS was selling fear to his base.
The president leaped upon the Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, taking his words out of context:
‘Crazy Bernie Sanders recently equated the City of Baltimore to a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! Based on that statement, I assume that Bernie must now be labeled a Racist, just as a Republican would if he used that term and standard! The fact is, Baltimore can be brought back, maybe……’
Then, Trump had the nerve to call this hero, Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD), “King Elijah.” In fact, this commander-in-chief was the one who wanted to be king. POTUS was so excited about becoming King Trump he could taste it:
‘….even to new heights of success and glory, but not with King Elijah and that crew. When the leaders of Baltimore want to see the City rise again, I am in a very beautiful oval shaped (sic) office waiting for your call!’
