Moscow Mitch aka Moscow Mitch McTreason or Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) took to the Senate floor yesterday, because he said his feelings were hurt. He almost managed a crocodile tear and a smile, which is as close as he gets to being emotional. Truth be told, he was covering for Donald Trump, and here is why.
POTUS started out his tweet day with an attack on the Mueller Report — again. In spite of a great deal of intelligence to the contrary, Trump called it a “Russian Hoax.” Then, the president hinted that he had sicced his Attorney General onto the best intelligence groups in the world. He referred to “great victory in court yesterday,” but it was not a permanent Wikileaks First Amendment win:
‘Such a great victory in court yesterday on the Russian Hoax, the greatest political scam in the history of our Country. TREASON! Hopefully, the Attorney Generel (sic) of the United States, and all of those working with him, will find out, in great detail, what happened. NEVER AGAIN!!!!’
Interestingly enough, POTUS has not been able to come up with a nickname for Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA):
‘If I hadn’t won the 2016 Election, we would be in a Great Recession/Depression right now. The people I saw on stage last night, & you can add in Sleepy Joe, Harris, & the rest, will lead us into an economic sinkhole the likes of which we have never seen before. With me, only up!’
Mayor Pete Buttigieg was right during the debate when he said:
‘(If) we embrace a far-left agenda, they’re going to say we’re a bunch of crazy socialists. If we embrace a conservative agenda, you know what they’re going to do? They’re going to say we’re a bunch of crazy socialists. Let’s stand up for the right policy, go up there and defend it.’
Sure enough, Senator John Kennedy (D-LA) rose to the task:
‘”The lesser of two Socialists is still a Socialist!” Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana’
Twitter world went wild. Check out some of our favorites below:
