Donald Trump has begun campaigning for re-election once again. At his rallies, he will not stop his followers from chanting “Send her home. Send her home.” The reason is that his people indicate that he actually likes it. Vice President Mike Pence’s nephew is even a cheerleader in the crowd to get them going. His speech is filled with hateful language that if he were not president, he might be charged with inciting people to violence. Then, something happened.
A van totally covered in Trump stickers went about placing bombs on a hit list last year, a list the unbalanced man thought would please the president. He thought POTUS was telling him to hurt these journalists and politicians.
Revered Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD) marched with Martin Luther King and was nearly beaten to death. Yet, he rose up and protested again and again throughout his life. Trump has been attacking the chair of the House Oversight Committee, because Cummings has been doing the House’s job — oversight of the Executive Branch of government. As such, the representative sent subpoenas out to members of the Trump family so that they could be questioned about possible ties to criminal activities. Now, his home has been robbed. He tweeted:
‘Mr. President, I go home to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and I go and fight for my neighbors. It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But, it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents.’
Early last weekend, Cummings’ homes was broken into just hours before the president started his Twitter attack. The burglary occurred at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, and the police have the crime under investigation. Police told CNBC:
‘At this time, it is unknown if any property was taken from the location.’
Trump sent over a dozen critical tweets to the representative calling the city he represents Baltimore, MD “rat and rodent infected” and “a very dangerous & filthy place (where) no human would want to live.”
And yet, the president has stated repeatedly that he was “the least racist person anywhere in the world.”
