On Wednesday night, the official Twitter account for the Mitch McConnell campaign, @Team_Mitch, was locked after it posted a video containing a profanity-laced video of protesters in front of Mitch McConnell’s home.
According to reports:
‘the @Team_Mitch account was locked because a tweet “violated our violent threats policy, specifically threats involving physical safety.”
‘The McConnell campaign on Tuesday shared a video featuring protesters demonstrating outside the Kentucky senator’s home. The video included Black Lives Matter Louisville leader Chanelle Helm repeatedly cursing and stating that she wished the GOP leader had “broken his little, raggedy, wrinkled-ass neck” instead of injuring his shoulder last weekend, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.
‘Helm later said, “Just stab the motherf—er in the heart” after a man made a reference to a voodoo doll. The comment quickly went viral on social media.’
Kevin Golden, Mitch McConnell’s campaign manager was quoted saying that “this is a problem with the speech police in America today,” and that “Twitter will allow the words ‘Massacre Mitch’ to trend nationally on their platform. But locks our account for posting actual threats against us,” but the reality is that people are FED UP with this administration and, in particular, Mitch McConnell, for his lackadaisical attitude toward gun reform and the basic rights of human beings.
According to the above report, the protesters claimed that gathering outside the Senator’s home was a last-ditch effort to get their voices heard after numerous calls and visits to McConnell’s office. Claudia Helm, the woman at the center of the viral video said:
‘McConnell doesn’t care about people who actually do break their necks, who need insulin, who need any type of medication, because they want to stop and prevent health care for all, And that is something that every American out here wants. There’s only a few Americans who don’t want that, and those people are politicians and their cronies.’
Whether or not you agree with Helm’s comments in the video, she’s stating facts in her above statement. Trump and his cronies, especially Mitch McConnell, have not even tried to hide the fact that they don’t care about working Americans, and the latest mass shootings and lack of immediate gun reform prove that they care more about the gun lobby and NRA than they do about America’s children. It’s disgusting, and these paid for politicians need to be run out of Washington.
