Last week, the president announced that he had tasked White House counsel with attaining the Danish territory of Greenland for his own personal real estate collection. The mockery started almost immediately, as only someone as arrogant as Trump would try to buy land that was not only not for sale, but belonged to the country of Denmark.
It would be like Chinese President Xi trying to buy Puerto Rico. It’s just weird.
The PM of Denmark commented on Trump’s ridiculous attempt, calling it “absurd,” which has apparently rubbed the president the wrong way.
Trump just reacted to the female leader in classic chauvinistic fashion. This is what he just said about Mette Frederiksen when asked by reporters what he thought of her remarks:
“I thought it was a very not nice way of saying something. They could have told me no.”
What a crybaby. But he wasn’t done there:
“All they had to say was we’d rather not do that. Don’t say, what an absurd idea that is.”
“She’s not talking to me, she’s talking to the United States of America. You don’t talk to the United States that way.”
No, old man, she is literally talking to and about you. America did not try to purchase Greenland, its current president did. This just proves once again that Donald Trump really does think he’s the king of the United States.
This is what the president tweeted today about Denmark:
….Because of me, these countries have agreed to pay ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS more – but still way short of what they should pay for the incredible military protection provided. Sorry!

People responding to the tweet were not very amused by the president’s behavior. Check out what they had to say on Twitter:
