The president panders for votes in any way he possibly can. So when he saw a chance to demonize a Muslim Rep as an anti-semite, he jumped right on the anti-racist activist train despite the clear irony that he once called nazis ‘fine people.’
Rudy Giuliani is now doing his best to clean up another one of Trump’s racist blunders, but since he’s really bad at his job, all he did was make it much worse. Giuliani said this on Twitter Wednesday:
Trump Accuses Jewish Democrats of ‘Great Disloyalty’ – The New York Times. This is routine for NYT and J St. But really disappointed a rep of ADL would feign confusion about @realDonaldTrump’s statement. POTUS is referring to disloyalty to Israel. https://t.co/XZ4775RyEP

Why would he even think that his clarification makes Trump’s statement somehow less offensive? And why would an American Jew have any allegiance to Israel? That’s like saying a white or black Muslim must support the Middle East.
Clearly, Jews are everywhere, not only in Israel.
Giuliani was responding to what happened Tuesday when Trump attacked American Jews who voted Democrat, saying that they either had ‘great disloyalty’ or they were just plain stupid. Trump said this to reporters yesterday:
“I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”
People responding to Giuliani on Twitter had quite a lot to say about the ridiculousness of his thought process. We saved the best responses to the president’s crony below:
