Why has Donald Trump gone through so many people? He has consolidated his power by eliminating the directors and secretaries in charge of managing the USA’s business and running the country. Instead, he has installed acting heads to temporarily filled the positions — but longterm. Another one is gone.

The former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders just announced that she will be joining Fox News, working as a contributor. She will start with Fox & Friends on September 6, according to CNN. Her role will be to offer political commentary for Fox News and Fox’s digital properties.

She was the third White House press secretary and under her leadership, the daily press briefing was eliminated. During her tenure, she even tried to protect Trump when she proffered inaccurate information after the president fired the former FBI Director Jame Comey.

Part of the problem for the revolving door has been that so few people have been willing to become part of the Trump White House. Another part was that the president did not have to nominate someone and make them go through the Senate committee confirmation process.

The Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 (FVRA) let the president install top officials on a temporary basis. It was meant to allow a department to continue to run during the Senate confirmation period.

Sanders is the daughter of former Arkansas Governor and form presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. He also works at Fox News.
