The president is currently doing a great job of humiliating the nation while at the 2019 G7 Summit in France. Not only does he seem really disinterested and unattached from the process, but he skipped out on a very important meeting about the Amazon Rainforest Monday morning that led to the generous donation of over 20 million dollars to stop the wildfires currently ravaging the vast ecosystem that provides 20% of the Earth’s oxygen.
Trump will be dead far before humans feel the effects of global warming, so why would he even worry about it, right? One thing he does plan on making it to, however, is the 2020 G7 Summit, which will be held in the United States.
Trump already has plans to embarrass the country next year, and that apparently includes reaping the benefits of holding the summit at one of his golf resorts.
Trump told reporters Monday that his Doral golf resort in Miami was the number one contender for holding the event. Trump said:
“They love the location of the hotel.
“We haven’t found anything that’s even close to competing with it. Really, you can be there in a matter of minutes after you land.”
Trump noted the close proximity of the resort to the Miami International Airport as a reason for choosing the resort, and also expressed his interest in having Vladimir Putin attend the summit, which would make it the “G7+1 Summit.”
Trump said this:
“We have to try to bring this forward in the next few months to come. It’s a big problem and there’s enough problems in the world.”
Enough problems. Like perhaps the president of the United States verbally attacking our actual allies, like the Prime Minister of Canada, and Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel.
It’s already been predicted that Trump will be badmouthing his fellow summit attendees on Twitter once he’s back on American soil, and many are betting he will start the abuse before even landing.
