The president has been going on and on about Hurricane Dorian hitting Florida on Monday, which would be totally amazing if he treated all hurricanes equally. The fact remains, however, that the president didn’t give a damn when Puerto Rico was ravaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017, and only cares about Hurricane Dorian because his beloved Mar-a-Lago golf resort is directly in the path of the storm.
The president has been tweeting about the storm for days, leading many to call him out for clear bias. One of the people calling him out is former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, who said this on Thursday:
“I’m rooting for a direct hit on Mar a Lago!”
Now, Campbell is speaking out again via her Twitter page to clarify that she does not wish harm on anyone after an updated forecast showed Mar-a-Lago dead in the path of Dorian, which will be a Category 4 by the time it reaches Florida’s east coast.
This is what Campbell had to say about her remarks:
And no, I don’t wish anyone, anywhere, the horror of being hit by a Category 4 Hurricane. But not everyone can have the protection of a fortress like Mar a Lago, built to be hurricane-proof! Trump will not bear the cost of his immoral abdication of the climate challenge! https://t.co/yvSWZuuTLL

The responses Campbell got to her tweet was less than appealing. People were flat-out angry and accused her of backpedaling. We saved the best reactions below:
