Trump Busts Himself On Twitter For Violating Emoluments Clause


Ever since it was discovered that VP Mike Pence went out of his way, on the taxpayer’s dollar, to stay at the president’s golf resort Turnberry golf resort, people have been going nuts. The VP decided to stay at the president’s resort despite it being nearly 200 miles away from where Pence needed to go the next day.

This is a clear violation of the Emoluments Clause, which states that the president must not benefit financially from his presidency, which Trump has done so many times that the clause may as well not exist.

Now, Trump is raging on Twitter, trying to convince people that he had nothing to do with the group staying at Turnberry, which means that the exact opposite is likely true. Check him out:

No one was buying the obvious lie, and that was apparent in the comment threads of the tweets. People were outraged that the president continues getting away with crimes while Nancy Pelosi still refuses to impeach.
