Republicans are known for their love of assault rifles. It doesn’t matter that people all around the country are being slaughtered in stores, theaters, bars, schools, universities, and just randomly on the streets. A libido issue may be to blame for the sense of false bravado large weapons afford a man, but that’s not a good enough reason to keep these weapons on the streets.
Beto O’Rourke has made a stand against these weapons of war, and that has caused conservatives to literally lose their minds at the thought of losing their precious firearms.
One of those conservatives just responded to Beto’s AR mission in a way that has gotten him reported to the FBI by Beto’s campaign. The following tweet, from GOP Rep. Briscoe Cain, was deleted Friday:
“My AR is ready for you Robert Francis.”
The tweet was in response to a remark by Beto at Thursday night’s presidential debate in which he said:
“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.”
Beto immediately tweeted back at Cain, accusing him of threatening his life:
This is a death threat, Representative. Clearly, you shouldn't own an AR-15—and neither should anyone else. pic.twitter.com/jsiZmwjMDs

People responding to Beto’s tweet to Cain were furious that Republican officials get away with so much that normal citizens would be arrested for. Check out the responses Beto got from Twitter users below:
