Could any crime be worse than anything than Donald Trump has already done in his two and one-half years in office? If so, what could that crime possibly be? He has done some pretty bad stuff. Yet, it appears, that the president of these United States has indeed put himself into very serious jeopardy.
News broke late last night that an intelligence official had discovered a really awful crime POTUS had committed. The official decided that a call Trump made to a foreign leader and promised something was egregious that he reported it to the inspector general of the intelligence committee The man risked his career by reporting this as a whistleblower.
It passed on to the acting Director of National Intelligence who broke protocol and discussed it with the Department of Justice. They decided to keep it from the House Intelligence Committee for a made-up reason, but the committee found out.
POTUS tweeted about the “little support for impeachment:”
‘All Polls, and some brand new Polls, show very little support for impeachment. Such a waste of time, especially with sooo much good that could be done, including prescription drug price reduction, healthcare, infrastructure etc.’
Then, Trump called people “dumb enough to believe it:”
‘….Knowing all of this, is anybody dumb enough to believe that I would say something inappropriate with a foreign leader while on such a potentially “heavily populated” call. I would only do what is right anyway, and only do good for the USA!’
Next, Trump tried to slot the new information into “fake news:”
‘Another Fake News story out there – It never ends! Virtually anytime I speak on the phone to a foreign leader, I understand that there may be many people listening from various U.S. agencies, not to mention those from the other country itself. No problem!’
At last, he framed it as:
‘Presidential Harassment!’
