Mitch McConnell has shady intentions behind every move he makes. He blindly follows any Republican in charge, including the highly corrupt current president of the United States. McConnell has no shame in his game as he lies to Americans’ faces almost daily about the goings-on with the GOP and this administration.
Monday, McConnell expressed his frustration with Democrats for planning to subpoena over Trump’s latest scandal with Ukraine. McConnell had the nerve to say this:
“I believe it’s extremely important that their work be handled in a secure setting with adequate protections in a bipartisan fashion — and based on facts rather than leaks to the press. It’s regrettable that House Intelligence [Committee] Chairman [Adam] Schiff [D-Calif.] and Sen. [Charles] Schumer [D-N.Y.] have chosen to politicize this issue.”
McConnell was responding to Chuck Schumer, who today sent a letter to Republicans requesting a hearing about the new information, as well as issuing a subpoena to get the complaint turned over to congress.
Trump seemingly has to inkling as to how big of a screw up this one was, insisting any time he’s in front of the press that this is all just a continuance of the alleged witch hunt that Democrats are on to make Trump look bad.
As if he needs help.
Trump said this to reporters about the claim that he threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine if they didn’t produce dirt on Joe Biden:
“I did not make a statement that you have to do this or I’m not going to give you aid.”
“I’ve been disappointed to see our colleague, the Democratic leader, choose to politicize the committee’s ongoing efforts with respect to a recent whistleblower allegations.”
Mitch is disappointed. Maybe now he is beginning to grasp how over half of the country feels in the hands of an ancient white man who cares more about money and guns than people.
