A whistleblower came forward and filed a complaint about the White House that was so egregious that he risked his career to do so. He gave it to the Intelligence Community inspector general, who investigated it, then agreed with the whistleblower. From there on out, the matter went all to hell. Look at this.

The whistleblower discovered that the Trump administration had a pattern of obscuring and mishandling official White House communications.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced an impeachment inquiry after the whistleblower’s complaint was finally released. Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) said, according to The Washington Post:

‘He copped to asking a foreign power to help him in his election. That’s impeachable.’

The phone call memo that the White House released started out with the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky showering Trump with compliments:

Trump said America:

‘…has been very, very good to UkrainE.’

Zelensky replied by agreeing “1,000 percent.”’

The Ukrainian president then noted he would need to buy more antitank missiles from the U.S. Zelensky, because his country is fighting off the Russian invasion. He said:

‘We are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.’

The memo showed that Trump said:

‘The server, they say Ukraine has it. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.’

Trump went back repeatedly to his insistence that Zelensky work with Attorney General William Barr and the president’s TV attorney Rudy Giuliani:

‘I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.’

The American president continued:

‘There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it. . . . It sounds horrible to me.’

Zelensky said according to the memo that the White House memo indicated “my candidate will look into the situation.” Trump replied:

”Whenever you would like to come to the White House, feel free to call.’

Then, Trump went after House Intelligence Committee Chair Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA):

‘It’s all a hoax, folks. It’s all a big hoax. When you look at the information, it’s a joke. Impeachment for that? When you have a wonderful meeting or a wonderful phone conversation.’

Trump said:

‘I didn’t do it, I didn’t threaten anyone. No push, no pressure, no nothing.’

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) said this about the issue:

‘…remains troubling in the extreme. It’s deeply troubling.’

The Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesperson Kerri Kupec said the DOJ:

‘All relevant components of the Department agreed with this legal conclusion, and the Department has concluded the matter.’

Trump never talked to Barr, she wrote:

‘…about having Ukraine investigate anything related to former vice president Biden or his son [or] anything related to Ukraine [and Giuliani].’

She continued, writing that U.S. Attorney John Durham was looking into any connection between the Trump campaign and Russia:

‘…exploring the extent to which a number of countries, including Ukraine, played a role in the counterintelligence investigation directed at the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.’

The American president held the $400 million in direly-needed military aid until Zelensky gave him what he wanted.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said:

‘…the actions of the Trump presidency have revealed the dishonorable fact of the president’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections.’

A senior White House official noted that the call memo:

‘…[was] not entirely helpful for our side. Everyone is going to see in that transcript what they want to see,” this person said, adding there were robust discussions about whether it would help or hurt Trump.’
