Rudy Giuliani’s worst career mistake is undoubtedly his work with the current president of the United States. Before that, Giuliani was best known for keeping New York running after the deadliest terror attack in America. Now, unbeknownst to him, he is the laughing stock of the cable news world.
Giuliani does whatever the president says, regardless of the fact that his knowledge of the law tells him that working for a criminal is a big no-no. His role in the Ukraine scandal is so disastrous that he could see himself on the other side of the law, and will definitely be seeing the other side of the courtroom soon.
Giuliani was subpoenaed multiple times Monday over his involvement in the president’s attempt to extort a foreign leader into giving him dirt on his political opponent.
Three House chairmen had this to say about the choice to subpoena:
“A growing public record indicates that the president, his agent Rudy Giuliani and others appear to have pressed the Ukrainian government to pursue two politically-motivated investigations.”
According to the legal doc, Giuliani asked Ukraine to prosecute people who gave information to the U.S. regarding Paul Manafort’s illegal activities. He also asked them to investigate Joe Biden for the sole reason that he is, so far, Trump’s biggest competition in the 2020 race.
Giuliani has until October 15th to turn over the documents concerning Ukraine, leading many to believe that these are the early steps to impeaching the president.
