Donald Trump’s pure rage boiled over in front of the press and the prime minister of Finland. His staff is leaking. There is no strategy or supporting structure around him. The president is sitting in one corner of the ring, and the Democrats in the other. There is just one problem.

This is not a game to the Democrats, but Trump still appears to be losing.  After meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, POTUS decided to one-on-one with a reporter.

Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason asked the president, according to Deadline:

‘Mr. President, can you just make clear right here what you did you want with regard to [Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky] and Hunter and Joe Biden?’

Trump blew right through it to deflect with a long answer about corruption in Ukraine. Mason asked again:

‘Yes, it is just a followup of what I just asked you sir. What did you want about Biden?’

The president seemed apoplectic when he responded:

‘We have the president of Finland. Ask him a question.’

Mason responded:

‘I have one. I just wanted to follow up on the one I asked you.’

‘That was when POTUS did a Robert DiNiro line out of the movie Taxi Driver:

”Were you talking to me? Ask him a question. I have given you a long answer. Ask this gentleman a question. Don’t rude.’

Mason answered:

‘No sir. I don’t want to be rude. I just wanted you have a chance to answer the question I just asked you.’

‘I answered everything. It’s a whole hoax, and you know who is playing into the hoax, people like you, and the fake news media that we have in this country, and I say in many cases, the corrupt news media. Because you are corrupt. Much of the media in this country is not just fake, it’s corrupt. And you have some very fine people too. Great journalists. Great reporters. But to a large extent, it is corrupt and it is fake.’

Mason responded calmly in the face of the president’s barely-contained rage:

‘Yes, it was a follow-up question.’

The leader of the free world responded:

‘Biden and his son are stone-cold crooked, and you know it.’

Mason finally decided to let it go:

‘Ok, I will move on now.’

In the midst of the terse dialogue, Trump gave The New York Times a compliment, saying it was the one that covered Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) in a new article. In it, The Times indicated that the representatives knew about the whistleblower before he filed the complaint.
