General Mattis Embarrasses Trump During ‘Meet The Press’ Appearance

People have started jumping off of the great ship called Donald Trump Titanic. Before that, an important secretary resigned, but in protest, because POTUS wanted to open the door from Turkey’s huge military to our great allies, the Kurds.

Former Defense Secretary James Mattis is that man. He was in charge of the Pentagon for two years before resigning. He appeared on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd exclusively and warned:

‘[T]he president’s decision to pull troops from Syria’s border in advance of a Turkish incursion could have dire consequences and lead to ISIS’s resurgence.’

The Kurds are an ethnic group in a mountainous region of Syria known as Kurdistan. This area crossed parts of Turkey, northwest Iran, northern Iraq, and northern Syria. Then, the Brits decided to carve up the area ignoring that.

Trump claimed ISIS was on the run, but he abandoned the Kurds who guarded prisons containing 10,000 to 12,000 of ISIS’ worst actors. Now, these members of ISIS have begun to escape.

Retired Marine Corps General Mattis told Todd:

‘We have got to keep the pressure on ISIS so they don’t recover. We may want a war over; we may even declare it over. You can pull your troops out as President Obama learned the hard way out of Iraq, but the “enemy gets the vote,” we say in the military. And in this case, if we don’t keep the pressure on, then ISIS will resurge. It’s absolutely a given that they will come back.’

The president fulfilled what must have been a promise to Turkey and Russia. He exposed the people who fought alongside American troops and lost 11,000+ of their remarkable fighters — women and men.

Official SDF (Kurdish military) official spokesperson told NBC Trump’s decision was “shocking and unexpected:”

‘[The U.S. moving aside as Turks invaded the Kurds was] shocking and unexpected…aa huge mistake [and ISIS will] reunite itself and appear again stronger than before. It seems that the policy of the United States is to betray their friends and allies.’

Trump weakly mentioned he could sanction Turkey for invading the Kurds with their second-largest military in NATO. Yet, he has only defended his actions. Still, Trump defended his decision by stating on Twitter that he was “trying to end the ENDLESS WARS.”

Trump tweeted an excuse for his horrendous act:

‘[I was] trying to end the ENDLESS WARS. Turkey has been planning to attack the Kurds for a long time. They have been fighting forever. We have no soldiers or Military anywhere near the attack area. I am trying to end the ENDLESS WARS.’

POTUS claimed ISIS was defeated via tweet that. He lied:

‘We did our job perfectly!’

The retired Marine Corps general was in charge of the U.S. Central Command. He also served in the Gulf War followed by the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. He said:

‘It’s in a situation of disarray right now. Obviously, the Kurds are adapting to the Turkish attacks. And we’ll have to see if they’re able to maintain the fight against ISIS. It’s going to have an impact. The question is, how much?’
