Barack Obama is greatly missed in this country. He is finally done with his service, and now his family can rest without having their names dragged through the media on a daily basis. Well.. at least they can relax. So it’s understandable that the Obamas have stayed out of the limelight since leaving the White House, but when they do make an appearance, the whole world take notice.
On Friday, while sitting in the audience at Elijah Cummings’ funeral, Obama received a standing ovation when Cummings’ widow said this about how Cummings felt about Obama:
“President Obama—he was so proud! He was so proud to stand with you and for you early. TO BE YOUR CO-CHAIR HERE IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND. TO SERVE AS YOUR CHIEF DEFENSE ATTORNEY ON THE HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE. AND TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU AND YOUR ADMINISTRATION WERE ALRIGHT.”
She continued, throwing shade at Trump:
“But you didn’t have any challenges like the ones we got going on now, so his job became harder over time.”
The crowd stood for president Obama as Rockeymoore-Cummings because to speak about for late congressman’s affection for the first African-American president in the history of our nation. It was likely a milestone Cummings thought would come far after his lifetime.
