Rudy Giuliani is a man of mystery because, for the life of us, we can’t figure out why he would ever put himself in a situation like he has with the Ukraine situation. Giuliani is now under investigation for his role in Trump’s orchestration of an attempted extortion of a foreign entity in need of our help.
You would think that would be enough to scare Giuliani straight, but it’s been quite the opposite, really. Giuliani has been on a press tour defending Trump’s quid pro quo, and he’s tweeting nonsense as well.
Like today. Giuliani tweeted this:
…private defense counsel to POTUS, to defend him against false allegations. I began obtaining this information while Mueller was still investigating his witch hunt and a full 5 months before Biden even announced his run for Pres.
It won’t work!

Giuliani’s tweet was in response to Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan, who said this to the media Wednesday:
“I was aware that Mr. Giuliani was involved in Ukraine issues. My knowledge – particularly in the April, May, June time frame, even into July – was focused on his campaign, basically, against our ambassador to Ukraine.”
According to Reuters:
President Donald Trump’s nominee to be U.S. ambassador to Russia, John Sullivan, said on Wednesday he had known earlier this year that the president’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was involved in a campaign about then-Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch that helped lead to her dismissal.
NY Magazine announced a week ago that Giuliani was looking for legal representation yet again, and that’s probably a good idea:
There are many reasons for Giuliani — who, according to former National Security Council member Fiona Hill, was running a shadow State Department in Ukraine — to have a robust legal team, let alone a single personal lawyer. There’s the criminal investigation conducted by the FBI and his former office at the Southern District of New York, determining if he broke any laws while lobbying in Ukraine with his two recently arraigned associates and all-around-stand-up-guys, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. There’s also the reported counterintelligence investigation, determining if his actions have undermined national security — perhaps the greatest bit of irony in the Ukraine scandal, considering Giuliani was brought on to defend Trump against similar charges in the Russia investigation.
People on Twitter thought it was pretty funny that Giuliani is losing his mind, and quite publicly. People just love watching the hot mess unfold on Twitter, but better yet, they love to stick it to Rudy in the comments to remind him he’s no longer America’s most beloved Mayor.
