Washington Post Responds To Trump’s Morning Attacks

The president spent the morning ranting and raving on Twitter over a Washington Post story that claims he asked AG Barr to hold a press conference to tell the world that Trump did not commit quid pro quo. Trump, being the sound person that he is, then confirmed the WaPo story by saying that Barr did not refuse the request for a press conference, basically telling us that the request did, in fact, take place.

Trump tweeted:

The degenerate Washington Post MADE UP the story about me asking Bill Barr to hold a news conference. Never happened, and there were no sources!

Bill Barr did not decline my request to talk about Ukraine. The story was a Fake Washington Post con job with an “anonymous” source that doesn’t exist. Just read the Transcript. The Justice Department already ruled that the call was good. We don’t have freedom of the press!

“The Amazon Washington Post and three lowlife reporters, Matt Zapotosky, Josh Dawsey, and Carol Leonnig, wrote another Fake News story, without any sources (pure fiction), about Bill Barr & myself. We both deny this story, which they knew before they wrote it. A garbage newspaper!”

Now, The Washington Post has responded with a tweet of their own, and what they said will not be making the president any less angry at them. The VP of Washington Post Live tweeted this message from Executive Editor of WaPo, Marty Baron:

People responding to Kelly’s tweet were in agreement that the president was way out of line, as per the usual. He will continue to try to get away with everything until he’s wasted all his money on court fees and is forced to become a merchandise peddler….oh, wait.
