Oh please. It is no wonder Dancing with the Stars competitor and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry (R) is seriously confused — all that twirling on the dance stage. Yet, there is a profoundly serious problem with the nation’s pseudo-Christians, such as the secretary.
The people who follow Donald Trump as “sent by God” typically are not weekly church-goers. That may be why they idolize this president as the Second Coming. They do not remember and possibly never knew that before that time, there was a big insert, the anti-Christ.
It appeared that POTUS has many of the characteristics of the anti-Christ. According to Britannica, he is “full of the devil,” and ” the polar opposite of Christ who will reign terribly.”
II Thessalonians 2:1-12 described the Second Coming as “the man of sin” and “son of perdition (eternal hell).” He will “deceive people with signs and wonders, sit in the temple of God, and claim to be God himself.” Woulld that temple be son-in-law Jared Kushner’s skyscraper at 666 5th Avenue, New York?
As Perry signed a Ukrainian energy deal that gave him a substantial financial boost, he fawned over Trump on Fox:
‘God’s used imperfect people all through history. King David wasn’t perfect. Saul wasn’t perfect. Solomon wasn’t perfect.’
‘And I actually gave the president a little-one pager on those Old Testament kings about a month ago and I shared it with him. I said, “Mr. President, I know there are people that say you said you were the chosen one,” and I said, ‘You were.”‘
‘I said, ‘If you’re a believing Christian, you understand God’s plan for the people who rule and judge over us on this planet in our government.’
