Trump Pardons Turkeys At WH, Embarrasses Himself Instantly

Donald Trump decided to continue a long-held White House tradition for a change, but there were several kinks in the event. Apparently, the president previously had a rendezvous with two big-breasted turkeys, Bread and Butter. It must have been a one-day affair, because the link POTUS offered Twitter readers misdirected them to a “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” page.

Yes, it really pardon-the- turkeys celebration. POTUS read the names of the two fowls for the first time. We knew, because after he read “Butter” and “Bread” he was surprised then slightly amused by the play on words.

After that, he read a poor politically-charged joke, about as insulting to both Democrats and Republicans as blonde jokes are to women with blonde hair. He noted that the two turkeys had “already received subpoenas to appear in Adam Schiff’s basement on Thursday.” Here, Trump was referring to the House’s historically significant closed-door Intelligence Committee impeachment hearings both Republicans and Democrats attended in the basement of Congress — hardly Schiff’s basement. The room was a secure setting to hear the most sensitive testimony from witnesses.

Trump went on with the joke saying the birds had been specially raised to be calm under any circumstance. He added “Bread and Butter, you and I have actually met,” implying that the 45th president knew nothing about the high-level, patriotic, and courageous witnesses who came forth:

‘Pres. Trump says Bread and Butter, turkeys vying for Thanksgiving pardon, have “already received subpoenas to appear in Adam Schiff’s basement on Thursday.”

“But Bread and Butter, I should note that unlike previous witnesses, you and I have actually met.”
