Republicans have officially lost their minds over Trump according to a new poll that suggests that most of them think Trump is a better president than Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln has long been an icon of the Republican Party, mainly because Lincoln’s freeing of the slaves is used as evidence that Republicans aren’t racist. They look over the fact that Lincoln admitted that he was not anti-slavery, and that if he could have saved the union without abolishing slavery, he would have done just that.
According to this week’s The Economist/YouGov Poll, fifty-three percent of Republicans agree that Donald Trump was a better president than Abraham Lincoln.
Overall, Americans back Lincoln over Trump 75% to 25%, proving just how delusional Republicans are when it comes to Trump. Somehow, someway, the president has completely brainwashed these people into thinking they have no other choice but to back the one who can win, and it doesn’t matter what dirty tactics he uses to do it.
Trump gloated about beating Abe in July saying this:
“You know, a poll just came out that I am the most popular person in the history of the Republican Party.”
“Beating Lincoln. I beat our Honest Abe.”
Thank you to all of my great supporters, really big progress being made. Other countries wanting to fix crazy trade deals. Economy is ROARING. Supreme Court pick getting GREAT REVIEWS. New Poll says Trump, at over 90%, is the most popular Republican in history of the Party. Wow!

A July 2018 PEW Poll did indicate, however, that President Obama topped a list of Americans’ favorite presidents of their lifetimes, which sent Trump spiraling with jealousy. The site claims that:
When asked which president has done the best job in their lifetimes, more Americans name Barack Obama than any other president. More than four-in-ten (44%) say Obama is the best or second best president of their lifetimes, compared with about a third who mention Bill Clinton (33%) or Ronald Reagan (32%).
