This week, the House officially impeached President Donald Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of justice, and he’s not taking it well. He is continuing to resort to desperately demeaning his opponents, rather than attempting to find any common ground whatsoever with those opposing him, let alone admitting to even the slightest bit of his clearly documented wrongdoing. This Friday, he also retweeted a barrage of messages in his favor, including some from Republican members of Congress and from random Twitter users who, quite simply, may or may not even be real people.
His retweets included the lie that Democrats have pursued impeachment simply because they “hate” Trump. When a conservative reporter asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) if that was true, she told him not to “mess” with her. They’ve made their evidence against the president, implicating him in a plot to bribe Ukraine for dirt on the Democrats. The case foundation is not a secret.
Trump also railed against Christianity Today, which came out in favor of his removal from office this week. The magazine depicted him as a completely morally bankrupt individual in a piece that was apparently written after a Congressional Republican compared the impeachment to the crucifixion of Jesus and, that same night, Trump publicly suggested that the beloved former Congressman John Dingell could be in hell.
He tweeted:
‘A far left magazine, or very “progressive,” as some would call it, which has been doing poorly and hasn’t been involved with the Billy Graham family for many years, Christianity Today, knows nothing about reading a perfect transcript of a routine phone call and would rather have a Radical Left nonbeliever, who wants to take your religion & your guns, than Donald Trump as your President. No President has done more for the Evangelical community, and it’s not even close. You’ll not get anything from those Dems on stage. I won’t be reading ET again!’

Does he really expect us to believe that he ever read the magazine in the first place? They’ll no doubt do just fine without that one extra reader. He’s flipping out — but at least he knows the hits! There is no evidence for some kind of systematic liberal campaign to “take” his supporters’ religion and guns. The left simply wants common sense safety and respect. Trump doesn’t seem to care.
