Donald Trump’s gut told him to bomb the highest Iranian military official, General Qassem Suleimani. His gut did not bother to tell POTUS about the consequences of such an action. Iranians who were protesting against their leaders united against America after his attack. Unless Trump intended his action to take the U.S. into war, that was an unplanned consequence, too. The question is: how will Iran respond?

The parliament of Iran passed a bill earning the U.S. military and the Pentagon the label of “terrorist organizations” How things have changed since Trump was elected. America used to be the shining leader of the free world. Now, we are designated terrorists.

The bill passed unanimously with 223 Iranian legislators voting for it, according to USA Today. Last year, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council labeled the U.S. Central Command a terrorist group, too. This is the nation’s Middle East command unit.

In addition, the Iranian legislators supported another motion. They pledged $220 million to the Islamic Republic’s Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force. General Qassem Suleimani led this organization until he was murdered by the American military. This organization managed Tehran’s link to Iran’s satellite military groups in other countries.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had this to say about the U.S.:

‘[It] has no respect for international law and is prepared to commit war crimes.’

After the Iranians promised to retaliate for the killing of General Suleimani, Trump announced he would bomb Iranian cultural sites. He said that he had 52 cultural sites predetermined — a war crime.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard leader Hossein Salami threatened the U.S., saying Iran would “set ablaze” those locations America supports. The thousands in his audience chanted “death to Israel.”

America denied Zarif’s visa to attend the United Nations (UN) meeting in New York on Thursday.
